June 26, 2003:
We had a wonderful time with Mel's Mom visiting for a few days. We went to Fantastic Caverns (pictures to come shortly), watched a bunch
of movies, and had some great home-cooked meals. She also brought the rest of our pictures, both from
the professional photographer and from our table cameras (you know, the pictures YOU took...) They'll all be up on the site very shortly.
We're also getting to work on the thank you cards. thanks to all of you in advance for coming and bringing such wonderful gifts!

Wow, what a lot of pictures! I've gotten hundreds since the last update, and they're all on the site now.
Please go check them out and keep checking back, as there will be plenty more! If you'd like a full size, printable version of any of them,
just drop me an Email.
As for the rest of our life here in Missouri, the home life is still pretty busy, as we've of course gotten a lot more stuff around
here. My new mother-in-law is coming for a visit this weekend, and we're scrambling to get everything in it place (or at least some place
that is not the living room floor :) )
We visited nearby Branson, MO this weekend, and we'll probably go back to catch a show or two soon. You know, for a city with a population
of only 6,000 there certainly is a lot of traffic. All the tourists, I suppose...but there's quite a lot to do in that small town.
Almost reminds me of a mini-Orlando with more country music...

This is just a quick note to say we had the wedding this weekend, and everything went GREAT! We're safely back in Springfield, and the
pictures from the wedding are already rolling in. Be sure to check out the pictures page to see what pics
we've just got in from Melissa's Dad, as well as pictures from the Bar-B-Q that some of our parents' friends were kind enough to have for us.

Melissa and I went down to Jacksonville this past weekend to finalize some of the planning, and we reserved a block at the Omni Hotel
downtown in case anyone chooses to stay there. It's a bit nicer, and the river view is amazing! Details are below. During our inspection
of the Hospitality Inn, the woman at the front desk accidently gave us a key to a very occupied room. Melissa was quite surprised to
walk in on an obvoiusly naked couple huddled tightly under the covers in bed! I'm not sure who was more shocked, Melissa or the couple...

April 7, 2003:
Well, the big day is almost here. That's right, Melissa and I are getting married on the 31st of May in my home town of Jacksonville, FL.
My parents have been kind enough to let us use their house and, weather permitting, their back patio for the ceremony.
My father has agreed to perform the ceremony (just one of the perks of being a judge, I guess), and it should be a good time for all.
Unfortunately, the venue requires that the guest list be limited to mostly family, but we'll have a few friends there, too.
